The Al-Hilal Trust had, with the help of Almighty
Allah, completed it’s project of a huge Musjid and Islamic
Dawah Centre in 2004. Serving as a source of guidance and knowledge,
it is a center catering to the needs of muslims in the greater Durban
What started out as a Hotel & Liquor store,
is now known as Musjid Al Hilal, helping muslims fulifill their
Islamic obligations and spiritual needs. The centre hosts on an
ongoing basis many local, national and international Dawah groups.
The Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said:
“I had considered ordering for
the prayer to be established, then I would order every man to pray
and set loose men who have with them logs of wood upon a people
who did not come to the prayer and I would burn their houses with
the fire.” (Bukhari, Muslim)
This clearly indicates that there is no excuse
for men to make a congregation at home if they have a Masjid near
them and it is possible for them to pray in one.....
The effort of Dawah & Tabligh is a non-profit
non-political transnational religious movement. The movement primarily
aims at Islamic spiritual reformation by working at the grass roots
level, reaching out to Muslims across all social and economic spectra
to bring them closer to the practices of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu
Alayhi Wa Sallam).
The effort of Dawah & Tabligh exclusively focuses
on making Muslims 'better and purer' and always inviting each and
every human being in the world irrespective of their colour, caste,
creed, sex or regional variations.
